Collin Veijer to Miss British Grand Prix Following Training Injury

Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 rider Collin Veijer will not compete in this weekend’s British Grand Prix after sustaining a serious arm injury during training in the Netherlands on Monday.

Veijer underwent surgery on Thursday at the Isala Clinic in Zwolle, where Dr. Tjeerd de Jongat treated him for a radial shaft fracture, a fracture of the ulnar styloid process, and a dislocation of the distal radioulnar joint—an injury complex consistent with a Galeazzi fracture.

The procedure was successful, and Veijer has since been discharged from the hospital. He will now begin his recovery, with his return to racing dependent on the progress of his rehabilitation.
